Quarry Manager

Alamo Concrete Products Company, ACP, is headquartered in San Antonio, TX with 8 Divisions throughout the Greater Central/South Texas Region. ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete batch plants. We are hiring a Quarry Manager to plan, direct, and oversee all operations for a 2,000,000+ ton-per-year hard rock quarry producing concrete aggregates, base materials, and manufactured sand. This role is responsible for ensuring operational goals, production targets, safety standards, and business objectives are achieved. Responsibilities Manage and develop quarry staff to ensure production objectives are met. Ensure optimized production and consistent quality across all quarry operations, including multiple shifts. Develop and maintain mine-planning objectives in coordination with Engineering and Environmental Services Group. Understand plant finances, monitor cost structures and meet budgetary goals on a monthly and annual basis. Maintain knowledge of quarry equipment and plant operations and adhere to maintenance schedules. Monitor all phases of operations daily for potential improvements and optimization. Ensure mine safety and foster a proactive safety culture. Qualifications 5+ years in surface mining required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered. 5+ years of management experience, as well as familiarity with production, equipment, maintenance or aggregate quality control. Knowledge or experience with various permits and permitting entities such as TCEQ, EAA, and MSHA. Proficient knowledge of MSHA safety requirements. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
