Why You'll Love Working Here Monday–Friday schedule Only one weekend day per month Limited holiday rotation Collaborative hospital rehabilitation team Diverse inpatient caseload Continuing education allowance MedBridge Unlimited CEUs National certification opportunities Structured mentorship Therapist-founded and therapist-led organization What You'll Treat You’ll work with a diverse inpatient population including: Orthopedic patients Neurological conditions Critical care patients General medical patients Post-surgical rehabilitation Patients recovering from illness or injury What You'll Do As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll help hospitalized patients safely regain mobility, improve function, and prepare for discharge. Responsibilities include: Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist Assist patients with mobility, transfers, gait training, balance, and therapeutic exercise Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safe mobility techniques Document care using EMR Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals Contribute to a positive, team-oriented patient care environment QualificationsRequired Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Maryland PTA license (or eligibility) American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills Preferred One year of acute care experience New graduates with strong acute care clinical rotations are encouraged to apply Experience with EMR documentation Benefits We invest in our clinicians' success with benefits that support your career, health, and well-being.
