Assistant Community and Economic Development Director

The City of Middletown is seeking a self-motivated professional to serve as Assistant Community & Economic Development ideal candidate should possess considerable knowledge abilities and experience in project planning quality management skills a strong customer service orientation effective communication skills and an excellent ability to manage professional relationships with community position is responsible for assisting the Community & Economic Development Director in overseeing department operations. The Department is comprised of the following Divisions: Building Inspections Economic Development Planning & Zoning and Code Enforcement. Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Public Administration Business Administration Marketing Planning Economics or a related field. Certified Economic Developer preferred with five years of recent experience in economic development or a closely related field.A minimum of two years of supervisor experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a good understanding of development incentive programs marketing and event coordination.
