General Manager

Established hospitality group is seeking an experienced and driven operations leader to join our New York City team.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong restaurant operations experience, a hands-on management style, and a genuine passion for food, service, and guest experience. Experience with Italian cuisine, wine, or European-style hospitality is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening, service, and closing
• Drive exceptional guest experience through active floor presence and hospitality leadership
• Oversee front-of-house operations while partnering closely with kitchen leadership
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop service team members
• Maintain and elevate service standards, systems, and operating procedures
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue, increase guest counts, improve average spend, and drive profitability
• Oversee operational administration, scheduling, maintenance coordination, and general facility standards
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, and regulatory requirements
• Support food and beverage program execution, including service standards, product knowledge, and quality control

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a senior restaurant management role (General Manager, AGM, or equivalent)
• Strong food and beverage knowledge; wine knowledge preferred
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced, hospitality-driven restaurant environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Operationally minded, highly organized, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with systems, reporting, and administrative responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
• NYC Food Protection Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Familiarity with Italian cuisine or European dining culture is a plus
