Retail Merchandising Support Associate, Route 46 Furniture - Full Time Location: Wayne, NJ, United States Schedule: Full time Pay: $15.92 – $19.51 hourly, based on job, location, and schedule Job Overview As a Merchandising Colleague (Front of House Colleague), you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless, inspiring in‑store experience by executing merchandise movement and placement strategies, enhancing visual appeal, maintaining organized displays, and ensuring accurate pricing and promotional signage. Responsibilities Execute merchandise movement and placement strategies. Enhance visual appeal of the sales floor. Maintain well‑organized shop‑able displays. Ensure pricing and promotional signage is accurate and up to date. Greet customers, offer assistance, and create a welcoming environment. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support sales and hospitality. Update mannequins, reset floor layouts, and align presentation with company directives. Maintain shop‑able space by recovering floor and fitting rooms, updating signs, replenishing merchandise, and supporting desired merchandise moves. Promote loyalty program benefits and ensure customers have all needed assistance. Prepare the space for the next day by restocking and reorganizing. Qualifications Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays; dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors. Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English. Ability to create connections with customers and help the store achieve sales goals. Create a welcoming, friendly environment fostering meaningful conversations. Able to learn about products and provide expert guidance based on customers’ wants and choices. Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits. Effective use of point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions. Work seamlessly with colleagues at all levels and across departments to drive sales and elevate the customer experience. Meet daily sales goal challenges. Physical Requirements Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. Standing for at least two consecutive hours; lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash register, to process transactions.
