Qualifications

Required

• Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD, MOT, or BSOT) – new graduates and experienced OTs encouraged to apply
• Strong knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation, including orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and functional skills training
• Excellent patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team-based outpatient environment
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic, neurological, or post-surgical rehab
• Experience with manual therapy, adaptive equipment, or splinting
• Experience using EMR systems
• Experience with aquatic therapy , lymphedema therapy , or pelvic health therapy

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Rehabilitation , you will help patients regain independence and functional abilities for daily living, work, and leisure. You’ll design individualized therapy plans, deliver hands‑on interventions, and provide patient and family education in a supportive outpatient clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OT evaluations including functional mobility, ADLs, fine motor skills, cognition, and strength
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands‑on therapy including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, splinting, aquatic therapy, lymphedema management, and pelvic rehab
• Track patient progress and document accurately in EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and long‑term wellness
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional outpatient clinic environment
