Special Education Paraprofessional (Multiple Openings)
Location: Anoka, Minnesota
Position Type: Full-Time, School-Year Assignment
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 32.5 hours per week
Assignment Dates: September 2026 – June 2027
About the Opportunity
We are seeking 8 Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals to support students in a variety of special education programs. Openings are available within:
Resource Programming
Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) Center-Based Programming
Ready Set LAUNCH Center-Based Programming
Candidates should indicate their preferred program area when applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with diverse learning needs
- Assist teachers and special education staff with instructional and classroom activities
- Support students in both individual and small-group settings
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Implement student support plans and accommodations as directed
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and support staff
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting assistance when required
Qualifications
Candidates must be Highly Qualified through one of the following methods:
- Passing the Minnesota Para Educator/Paraprofessional Exam, or
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required)
In addition, candidates should have:
- Experience working with children or students, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
- Ability to support students with varying academic, developmental, and behavioral needs
Additional Information
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a variety of classroom environments and supporting students with diverse needs.
