Senior Structures (Bridge) Engineer

Job Description Dewberry is seeking a Senior Structures (Bridge) Engineer in our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a nationally recognized multi‑disciplined engineering firm providing planning and design services to the Florida Department of Transportation and municipal agencies throughout the state of Florida. The successful candidate will design minor and major bridges and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures). Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and develop structures designs, construction plans, cost estimates, reports and technical specifications Collaborate with other Transportation Discipline Leads and Project Managers Assign tasks and provide technical assistance to Structures Project Engineers, Technicians, and Administrative Staff Coordinate with contractors on Design‑Build projects, perform bridge inspections, and develop solutions to issues that arise during the construction of various types of structures Assist with the preparation of project schedules and budgets Prepare marketing materials and serve as Structures Lead during project pursuit presentations Perform QC reviews of design documentation and plans prepared by internal Staff and other consultants Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline 15+ years of experience working on bridge transportation projects FL PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year Sound oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry‑leading professionals Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
