WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Project Superintendent, you will have full field oversight of mechanical construction projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish. Your leadership will directly impact safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.

• Lead and manage all field operations across plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems—from small commercial installs to large, complex builds

• Direct and coordinate field teams, including multiple foremen and craft professionals

• Own project execution: drive schedule adherence, maintain labor budgets, and proactively solve field challenges

• Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards aligned with company expectations

• Serve as the primary field liaison with clients, general contractors, and A/E teams

• Represent Polk Mechanical in project meetings and strategic planning discussions

• Ensure all work meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and code compliance

• Champion and enforce Polk’s safety culture, maintaining a safe and productive jobsite

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless project delivery

WHAT YOU BRING

We’re looking for a leader with deep technical knowledge and proven field leadership experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in plumbing, piping, and/or sheet metal trades

• 5+ years of supervisory experience managing field teams on commercial projects

• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems, including installation methods for everything from domestic water to medical gas systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes across multiple trades

• Experience managing manpower, schedules, and labor productivity across multiple scopes

• Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with clients and crews

• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong decision-making skills
