ProDrivers is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for multiple local driving opportunities in Torrance, CA. We currently have openings for port/container drivers and yard drivers. Whether you have port experience with a TWIC card or recent yard hostler experience, we have a position that offers steady work, competitive pay, and daily home time.

Position 1: CDL-A Port Driver

Pay & Schedule

Day Shift: 7:00 AM Start, $27.00/hour
Night Shift: 7:00 PM Start, $30.00/hour
Monday-Friday with occasional weekends
40-60 hours per week
Home Daily

Job Duties

As a Local Truck Driver , you will complete container moves between the port and local customer locations while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Local port and container deliveries
Multiple drayage moves daily
No-touch freight
Operate container chassis equipment
Operate EV and BEV tractors
Maintain accurate logs and inspections
Follow customer and port requirements

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 12 months recent CDL-A experience
Minimum 12 months recent port/container experience
Valid TWIC Card
Current DOT Medical Card
Safe driving record

This Local Truck Driver position is ideal for drivers with drayage, intermodal, harbor, or container hauling experience.

Position 2 & 3: CDL-A Yard Driver

First Shift

Monday-Friday
5:30 AM to 2:30 PM
$26.00/hour

Second Shift

Monday-Friday
4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
$28.00/hour

Job Duties

As a Local Truck Driver working in the yard, you will safely move trailers and containers throughout the facility while performing required inspections and safety checks.

Move trailers within the yard
Conduct yard safety checks
Complete tractor and trailer inspections
Work with dry van and container equipment
No-touch freight
Maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 12 months CDL-A experience within the last 5 years
Minimum 6 months yard driver experience
Current DOT Medical Card
Safe Driving Record

Yard Driver Positions ($26-$28/hr)

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 12 months CDL-A recent driving experience
Minimum 6 months yard driver/hostler recent experience
Ability to perform trailer inspections and yard safety checks
Ability to safely move dry van and container trailers in a busy yard environment

Preferred Qualifications

Port, drayage, intermodal, container, or yard hostler experience
Strong safety record
Reliable attendance and work history
Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
