General Shop and Yard Maintenance

As a General Shop and Yard Maintenance Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting daily operations by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the warehouse and yard. Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors, break areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces through regular sweeping and trash removal
• Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door hardware, patching walls, and repairing shelving
• Monitor the facility for issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical concerns, or structural damage and promptly report them to management
• Track inventory of maintenance supplies and notify management when restocking is needed
• Assist with routine upkeep and basic maintenance of facility equipment
• Transport company trucks and equipment vehicles to inspection stations for required inspections
• Move and reposition trucks, trailers, and equipment within the yard to support daily operations and organization
• Assist with fueling, cleaning, and performing basic readiness checks on company vehicles and equipment
• Report any vehicle issues observed during transport to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (required for vehicle transport duties)
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties safely and effectively
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, or electrical repairs and general maintenance procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, dust, and noise
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely in local traffic conditions
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed (up to 25 hours per week)
