Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Low census contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable hours, which can occur in hour increments; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments and may ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Work in MAP Unit caring for Medical and Pediatrics patients (travelers do not take Pediatrics patients)
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, and able to manage change well
• Must be able to work independently, complete tasks timely, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes throughout a shift required
• Scrub colors: any color
