Delivery Driver

Job Purpose As a vital part of our team, the Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery and removal of containers to both residential and commercial customers. This role requires the efficient operation of company vehicles, maintaining safety standards, and delivery of excellent customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Perform complete pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any mechanical or safety issues to management to ensure reliability and safety. Safely operate a truck along a designated route to delivery areas. Follow maps and route sheets to ensure timely and accurate service to all customers. Operate manual and automatic controls in accordance with company safety policies to lift and load containers at the CWS facility. Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely manner. Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required. Reliable transportation to and from work is essential. Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check prior to employment. Must have a clean driving record. Qualifications Qualifications include: Have a willingness to learn new skills. Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner. Good follow-through ability adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise. Maintains a feeling of pride in work; strives to achieve all goals.
