Project Brilliant helps organizations improve how they lead, work, and use AI. Our public, in-person training classes give professionals practical skills they can put to work immediately.

We’re hiring an entrepreneurial Training Sales & Marketing Manager to grow our public training business. You’ll own the marketing and sales efforts that turn prospective attendees into paid registrations.

Your primary measure of success is paid enrollment and training revenue. You’ll be accountable for building a pipeline, generating demand, converting interest into registrations, and consistently meeting enrollment targets.

What you’ll ownGenerate demand and fill classes

• Build and execute a marketing and sales plan for each class.
• Identify target audiences and develop compelling messages that connect our training to their professional goals and business needs.
• Generate registrations through email campaigns, direct outreach, cold calling, referrals, partnerships, social media, and other effective channels.
• Take ownership of enrollment goals and act early when a class needs additional promotion or sales activity.
• Test new approaches, measure results, and invest effort in the channels that produce paid registrations.

Turn interest into registrations

• Proactively prospect for individual attendees and companies that can send multiple participants.
• Follow up with inquiries, answer questions about our courses, address objections, and close sales.
• Help prospective attendees choose the right training for their goals.
• Develop group enrollment opportunities with employers and professional development leaders.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline with clear next steps and consistent follow-up.

Build relationships that generate repeat business

• Develop referral partnerships with professional associations, business communities, employers, and complementary service providers.
• Create campaigns that encourage past participants to take additional classes and refer colleagues.
• Build lasting relationships with buyers who regularly invest in employee development.
• Develop repeatable strategies for reaching new audiences and expanding into additional markets.

Own class promotion and marketing performance

• Create and optimize Eventbrite listings to improve visibility and registration conversion.
• Write effective email campaigns, promotional copy, social posts, and sales outreach.
• Expand class visibility through relevant event calendars, community listings, and partner channels.
• Recommend pricing promotions and offers that support enrollment and profitability.
• Track registrations, revenue, conversion rates, acquisition costs, and campaign performance.
• Provide clear enrollment forecasts and recommendations based on results.

You bring:

• A track record of generating measurable sales or enrollment results.
• Confidence with outbound prospecting, including cold calling and email outreach.
• Hands-on experience executing marketing campaigns and measuring their effectiveness.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to explain why a class is worth someone’s time and money.
• Discipline in managing leads, follow-up, and sales opportunities.
• Comfort using email marketing platforms, CRM tools, Eventbrite, spreadsheets and supporting AI tools.
• The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of results.

Experience selling professional training, conferences, memberships, or business services is especially valuable. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, leadership development, or AI is helpful.

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: $50,000 per year.
• Commission: Performance-based compensation tied to filling classes.
• On-target annual cash compensation: $115,000, consisting of $50,000 base salary plus $65,000 in commissions at target. Actual earnings depend on performance.
• Benefits: 401(k) and health reimbursement benefit.
