Senior Facility Manager

Overview Senior Facility Manager – JLL. This role is the strategic leader responsible for the comprehensive management of critical facility operations in a highly regulated environment, including pharmaceutical industry standards such as FDA, GMP, and EHS regulations. The position partners with site leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute facility strategies that support manufacturing operations, maintain operational continuity, and drive performance improvements. Responsibilities Serve as the primary JLL Client Relationship Manager, establishing a "Safety First" culture and ensuring staff and vendors meet EHS, GxP, SLA, and KPI requirements while operating in GMP manufacturing standards and applicable regulations. Understand and deliver contract scope while managing indirect equipment and services (janitorial, lab services, grounds, security, waste management, space planning). Standardize service level provisions and act as liaison for vendor consolidation initiatives. Ensure GMP/GLP compliance through completion of training, audit responses, and timely completion of critical PMs. Maintain safety, environmental, and GxP standards; coordinate emergency and FAT response with the Hard Services Manager. Measure and manage client feedback through formal and informal meetings; identify opportunities to improve customer experience, outcomes, and operational savings while supporting sustainability initiatives. Establish site-level SMART objectives, provide effective employee management, develop team members for increased responsibilities, and maintain succession planning. Complete performance reviews and goals by required dates. Manage site operating expenses to meet/exceed savings targets with documented tracking; develop annual budgets, provide monthly variance analysis, submit forecasts, and present budget summaries at client meetings. Update and develop 5-year Facility Capital/Operating Improvement Plans for each facility; benchmark performance and pursue improvement opportunities. Support JLL Sourcing Team on initiatives, implement service level changes and supplier transitions, and ensure competitive bids, CORs, PO issuance, and work receipting follow established financial processes. Identify, develop, and document best practices through JLL's iStream program; encourage staff to submit innovations and apply new technology and corporate programs. Support Account Team on scope changes and priority projects; seek scope expansion into related areas and manage transitions per JLL processes including KPI/SLA development. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; business degree preferred. 5+ years of pharmaceutical GMP facility management experience with demonstrated judgment. Knowledge of Energy Reduction and Sustainability Programs. Experience in driving OSHA‑compliant safety programs and maintaining environmental compliance related to facility operations (Air, Water, Waste Management). Experience in supporting compliant Environmental, Health and Safety training programs for facility management operations. Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability; excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills; proven internal and external customer service experience. Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices; proficiency in Excel and data analysis. Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement certifications with demonstrated application in facility operations. Experience with LEED, sustainability initiatives, and energy management programs in pharmaceutical or laboratory settings. Location South San Francisco, CA — On-site.
