Gastroenterology Physician

Opportunity: Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: * Locum Tenens position covering gastroenterology services * 20 patient encounters per shift * 6 beds in department * Board certification required with minimum board certification eligibility * BLS certification required * Fellowship training required * Preferred procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices * Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement preferred * Esophageal dilatation/manometry preferred * Small bowel biopsy preferred * Lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy preferred * Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision preferred * Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube preferred Facility: This gastroenterology practice provides comprehensive outpatient and procedural digestive health services to the surrounding community.
