CDL Driver - PHX Airport

CDL DriverThe CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, including buses, trucks, or other transport equipment, to facilitate passenger transportation and airport logistics. This role involves adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. As our CDL Driver, you may also assist in loading and unloading luggage or cargo and providing exceptional customer service to passengers. Attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesOperate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently within and around the airport premisesTransport goods, equipment, and personnel between various airport locationsEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding commercial vehicle operationsConduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues immediatelyMaintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with DOT regulationsLoad and unload cargo, ensuring secure and proper stowageNavigate busy airport areas, adhering to specific traffic rules and regulationsCommunicate effectively with dispatch and airport personnel for smooth operationsRespond promptly to changes in schedules or routes as directed by managementAssist in emergency situations as required, following airport safety protocolsKeep the vehicle clean and presentable, performing minor maintenance tasks as neededAdhere to all airport security measures and access control protocolsParticipate in safety meetings and training sessions related to commercial driving and airport operationsProvide excellent customer service when interacting with airport staff and passengersPerform additional duties as assigned, such as assisting in other areas of airport operationsExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesCommunicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)1 Year of CDL driving experienceCDL license1 Years of customer service experienceAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
