Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - First Assist

Schedule
MondayFriday with a rotating day off; one rotating call day per week.
Assignment Details
Minimum experience: 1 year; travel is accepted from first-time travelers within a 50-mile radius.
Requirements
- State or Compact license required at the time of submittal.
- Minimum 1 year surgical/first-assist experience.
- Experience assisting cardiothoracic cases, including CABG (on/off pump), vein harvesting for CABG, VATS, and valve replacements.
- Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA.
- Scrubbing experience required in general, orthopedics, urology, endo/laparoscopic, GYN, and robotics.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG and valve replacements.
- Participate in vein harvesting procedures for CABG.
- Scrub in on general, orthopedic, urology, endo/laparoscopic, GYN, and robotic surgeries.
- Support the surgical team during operations and coordinate care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Adhere to protocols and assist with intraoperative workflow in cardiothoracic cases.
Compliance / Notes
All requested time off must be listed at the time of submittal. Onboarding requirements include completing core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
