Summary: To pack, process, and deliver clean linen and collect soiled linen throughout the hospital. Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Required: -Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. -Experience and Training Required: -Six (6) months general work experience. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: -Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. -Strong problem-solving skills sufficient to evaluate and resolve complex patient problems. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to gather and present information in an organized manner. -Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and efficiently with patients, families, and all members of the multi-disciplinary team and external organizations. Excellent oral communication skills sufficient to deal effectively with internal and external customers at all levels as well as with people of all cultures. -Ability to empathize with patients and families undergoing physical, spiritual and emotional stress. -Good working knowledge of computer applications and systems. -Highly functioning in a customer service setting. Demonstrated team, organizational and problem solving abilities. -Demonstrates sensitivity to diversity. -Must complete effective communication and navigation training to facilitate optimal delivery of outstanding customer service. Level of Physical Demands: -Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects -Standing and/or walking most of the day. -Ability to constantly push, or pull loaded wheeled linen bins weighing form 350-750 pounds and continually lift stacks of linen weighing over 20 pounds. -Occasional exposure to blood, feces, odors, etc. Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled $15.96/hr - $19.16/hr The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
