We are passionate about multiplying possibilities for our employees and our partners.Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness.Key Essential Functions/Duties:Provide cross functional leadership for GFSI (SQF) accreditation (SQF Practitioner), conduct risk assessments, develop and implement preventive controls and verify/validate food safety and quality programs effectiveness.Lead and manage a quality team and ensure resources are actively engagedSupervise and develop inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedbackDevelop specific action plans, leverage internal resources, improve processes and deliver resultsDrive attainment of Key Process Indicators for food safety and qualityImplement a corrective and preventative action programManage product identification and traceability programsOversee non-conforming product/equipment proceduresDeliver and manage training materialProfessionally represent policies and procedures to external customers and governmental agencies.Deliver continuous improvement (reduce/prevent internal failures, deliver right first time)Manage food safety, food quality, and food defense plansProvide risk assessment and develop mitigation strategiesIdentify/develop critical controls to reduce riskVerify effectiveness of critical controls and proceduresPrepare reports on food quality status to relay to owners and upper-level managementKeep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysisIdentify critical food safety and quality issues and escalated appropriately to upper-level managementLiaison with internal departments and external parties on matters related to food safety, quality & defenseEducation/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:Required:HACCP and/or Preventive Controls Qualified Individual training or relevant experienceDemonstrated people and team leadership skills (5+ years of supervisory experience)Strong working knowledge of quality systems (5+ years of food safety/quality system management)Demonstrated experience with GFSI quality system implementation and managementExperience with FDA and GMP'sStrong interpersonal skills to include team building and oral communicationStrong customer facing and presentation skillsStrong project management and planning skillsDemonstrated data analysis and statistical process control skillsDemonstrated accomplishment in the area of continuous improvementStrong documentation skillsCoaching and talent development experienceProficient in MS Office and strong computer literacy skillsPreferred:BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science or a related scientific fieldDemonstrated SQF implementation skillsFood defense training or relevant experienceStrong regulatory awareness in the food sectorKnowledge in Sanitation ProgramsExperience with Environmental Monitoring ProgramsRoskam Foods offers a competitive compensation package that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits, tuition reimbursement, life and disability insurance, and a 401 (k) plan with company match.AAP/EEO Statement: Roskam Foods is a recognized veteran-friendly and equal opportunity employer.We are excited to introduce you to all that Roskam has to offer—from the many valuable benefits to programs that support your lifestyle needs and opportunities for professional development.
