Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Staff Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment. Core Job Responsibilities

Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Physical Therapist Observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staff Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation Perform components of an appropriate assessment on all patients Assists with formulation of a teaching plan Coordinates and assists with patient care to ensure patient’s needs are met Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department and accurately reflects condition/status of the patient Keeps patient schedule board or book current Perform other duties as required. Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited college of physical therapist assistant program Possess a certification from the State of New York Licensure/Certification Requirements Disclaimer
