Gallatin Primary Assessment Center in Gallatin, Tennessee is a secure short‑term facility serving boys ages 13 to 17 who require assessment and stabilization. The center offers continuous observation, clinical evaluation, mental health care, and life skills programming during initial placement. Youth typically remain for about 30 days, receiving individual and group therapy, educational services, victim‑impact awareness, and family engagement. Small group living units support informed placement decisions and safe transition to longer‑term residential or community settings. Position Summary – Special Education Teacher Job in Gallatin, TN We are hiring a Special Education Teacher for students in grades 6-12 in English, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies to join our team at Gallatin Assessment Center. This role is ideal for educators passionate about helping at‑risk youth with behavioral health and emotional regulation needs succeed in the classroom. You will be responsible for providing direct instruction, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and supporting youth through trauma‑informed, evidence‑based education programs. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that knowledge is attainable under the law. Other: Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license.
