Performing Arts Center Lighting Designer (Part Time) Williamson County Parks & Recreation is seeking a skilled and motivated Part‑Time Lighting Designer to support the technical operations of the Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park. This position works closely with the Technical Director to design, program, and execute lighting for a wide variety of live performances and events. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative professional with a passion for live entertainment and technical theatre to contribute to concerts, theatrical productions, and community arts programming in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Technical Director to design and implement lighting for performances and events. Set up, focus, and program lighting systems for productions. Operate lighting console during rehearsals and live performances. Assist with load‑in, strike, and general stagehand duties. Maintain lighting equipment and ensure safe technical operations. Support a variety of events including concerts, musical theatre, drama productions, fine arts events, and outdoor festivals. Follow all safety procedures while working at heights using ladders and lifts. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience in theatrical and concert lighting design and execution. Proficiency with High End Systems Hog 4 lighting console platform. Experience with Figure 53 QLab software. Strong computer and technical troubleshooting skills. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting equipment and working on ladders or lifts. Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills. Professional, organized, and dependable work ethic. Work Schedule Evenings and weekends required based on event schedule. Category: Parks & Recreation. Status: Open.
