Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications to patient care units.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes electronic medical record system to generate reports for medication fill.
• Check expiration dates of medications.
• Assembles and prepares parenteral medications.
• Fills medication cassettes and medication labels.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas.
• Maintains floor stock/Pyxis.
• Inventory control.
• Pre-packs medications in ready-to-use format.
• Maintains equipment that are used for preparing and compounding medications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Pharmacy Technician certification required
• NYS Pharmacy Technician license required
• Experience working in a hospital preferred

Posted Salary Range

USD $33.94 - USD $33.94 /Hr.
