Job Summary:

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting. This position involves providing patient care in a Medical Surgical Floor with a focus on acute care, remote telemetry monitoring, and collaborative nursing practices. The role demands adaptability across units and adherence to established clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Not specified
• Schedule: Days, 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., with every other weekly schedule, floating required, holidays required
• Schedule Details: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Recent experience in an acute care setting; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; recent Cerner charting experience; at least 2 years of clinical experience; completion of two or more travel assignments
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring; experience with orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, and respiratory conditions; proficiency in Cerner electronic medical records system
• Responsibilities: Deliver patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation; coordinate nursing care based on established clinical practices; collaborate with healthcare team members; administer medications using bedside scanning; respond to patient needs in a fast-paced environment
• Additional Information: Number of beds in unit: 35; Monthly department volume: 810; Types of services include Med Surg, Remote Tele, Orthopedics, Post-op, CHF, Respiratory; Patient ratio: 1:6-7; Blocked scheduling not approved; 48-hour weekly guarantees not approved; Scrub color: navy blue; Responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care according to hospital policies.
