Operational Support Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented *Operational Support Services Specialist* to join our Support Services team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of patient and insurance correspondence across multiple healthcare facilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced administrative, mailroom, or healthcare support environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Document Intake & Processing (50%)*
* Receive, organize, and scan patient and insurance correspondence.
* Accurately index and upload documents into imaging, workflow, and patient accounting systems.
* Ensure all documentation is properly categorized for efficient workflow processing.

* *Revenue Cycle Support (10%)*
* Apply knowledge of patient billing, collections, denials, and financial assistance processes.
* Triage and route documents to appropriate departments to support timely account resolution.

* *Mailroom & Imaging Operations (15%)*
* Maintain efficient mailroom and document imaging workflows.
* Ensure accuracy and timeliness to minimize delays and reduce financial risk.

* *Correspondence Management (15%)*
* Sort, date-stamp, and distribute incoming correspondence (mail, fax, email, checks).
* Handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

* *Team Support & Cross-Training (10%)*
* Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
* Cross-train across departmental functions to support operational continuity.
* Participate in additional tasks or projects as assigned.

*Required Qualifications*
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1+ year of clerical, administrative, mailroom, or revenue cycle experience
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Smith, AR.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
