In this role, you provide protection over MultiCare Health System properties and facilities. You will own the responsibility for the security and safety of MultiCare patients, employees, and visitors.**Responsibilities*** Conduct general security in the protection of people and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.* Deter criminal activity and misconduct utilizing tactical techniques.* Utilize Management of Aggressive Behavior skills both verbally and physically as required.* Apply the concepts of Awareness, Vigilance, Avoidance, Defense, and Escape to effectively protect and serve facility campus.* Utilize weapons detection devices to monitor patients/visitors and ensuring the removal of contraband from facility.* Apply appropriate techniques with assistive devices when engaging with combative/aggressive individuals.* Effectively operate/leverage required security equipment and tools.**Requirements*** High school graduate or equivalent preferred.* Current Washington or Idaho state driver's license (driving is not required for this position at Navos Hospital).* IAHSS basic certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire date.* Minimum six (6) months of experience in police, military, or security, preferable in a health care setting.* Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.83 - $35.71 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
