Material Planner / Operative Buyer Do you want to have a real impact on material availability, inventory levels and production continuity? We are looking for an experienced Material Planner / Operative Buyer to join our Supply Chain team and take ownership of material planning and operational purchasing activities. Your role Ensure reliable material availability for production while balancing service level and inventory Work actively with SAP MRP (planning parameters, signals, exceptions) Analyze demand signals (forecast, customer orders, consumption) Apply ABC / XYZ segmentation and differentiated planning strategies Create and release purchase orders, manage confirmations and deliveries Communicate daily with suppliers and resolve shortages or supply disruptions Reduce expediting and urgent interventions through proactive planning Cooperate closely with production planning, sourcing, logistics and customer service Contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain performance Who we are looking for Experience in material planning, supply planning or operative purchasing Strong knowledge of SAP MRP and inventory management principles Analytical mindset and ability to work with data Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, operational environment Strong communication skills and teamwork attitude English at a communicative level What we offer A key specialist role in a stable manufacturing environment Opportunity to influence material availability, inventory and costs Professional growth in supply chain and planning Collaboration on projects and continuous improvement initiatives SCHURTER is a globally successful Swiss technology group and a recognized leader in the development and manufacturing of electronic components and system solutions.
