Finance & Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY LionsBot USA is seeking a Finance Manager to own the full finance and accounting function for our North American subsidiary. This is a critical role at a pivotal moment — we are actively restructuring and scaling our U.S. operations, building out our sales organization, service infrastructure, and dealer network, and we need a finance professional who can build the financial foundation the business runs on while also delivering the analytical insight that drives our decisions. The Finance Manager is the most senior finance professional in the U.S. organization and serves as the primary financial partner to the President. This person will be responsible for financial close and reporting, gross margin and profitability analysis, pricing support, accounts receivable and collections, new customer credit review, statutory compliance across all U.S. states, and ongoing coordination with the LionsBot International finance team in Singapore. The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional who can operate independently, build from scratch, and communicate clearly to non-finance executives. This is not a role for someone who needs to inherit an established function — it is an opportunity for someone who thrives on ownership and wants to build something meaningful. This role reports directly to the President of LionsBot USA. For two specific areas — Group statutory reporting (excluding U.S. local statutory requirements) and cash flow management — the Finance Manager takes functional direction from the Head of Finance, LionsBot International, in Singapore. This dual-accountability structure reflects LionsBot's global operating model and requires someone who is comfortable working within it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Monthly Close & Financial Reporting Own the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process and deliver a clean management package — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, actuals vs. budget, and variance commentary — to the President by WD4, and to the Singapore HQ finance team no later than WD4, ensuring Singapore has adequate runway to complete Group consolidation on their side of the calendar Prepare and present quarterly management packs and support executive presentations to global LionsBot leadership Attend weekly coordination calls with the LionsBot International finance team in Singapore and maintain alignment on reporting formats, timelines, and intracompany requirements Publish financial statements according to deadlines and complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual closings Prepare weekly financial health and sales reports for the President and U.S. leadership team Gross Margin & Profitability Analysis Build and maintain gross margin reporting by product, channel, and customer segment — delivered monthly alongside the close package Conduct customer contract profitability reviews on a defined cadence and flag unprofitable arrangements to the President with a clear recommendation Provide financial analysis to support pricing strategy decisions as LionsBot USA evolves its product line, MSRP structure, and dealer channel model Identify cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities across the business and support profitability-focused decision-making Accounts Receivable, Collections & Customer Credit Manage the full AR cycle — invoicing, collections follow-up, and aging review — with a target DSO aligned to company cash flow requirements Review all new customers for creditworthiness before contract execution and recommend appropriate payment terms and credit limits Escalate overdue accounts to the President with a clear status summary and recommended next action; maintain zero write-offs due to process failure Ensure timely accounts receivable payments and maintain a clean, current AR ledger at all times Accounts Payable & Cash Flow Management Own the full AP cycle — vendor invoice processing, approvals, and payment runs — ensuring on-time disbursement, accurate GL coding, and compliance with vendor terms Maintain a rolling weekly and monthly cash flow forecast for LionsBot USA, and proactively flag funding requirements or surplus cash positions to the Singapore HQ finance team well ahead of need This role requires close, ongoing coordination with HQ Singapore — AP payment timing, cash positioning, and any funding requests must be planned and agreed jointly with Singapore treasury and finance leadership; this is not a function LionsBot USA can run in isolation Coordinate all intercompany fund transfers, loans, and working capital support requests with Singapore HQ treasury, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and timely execution Align local vendor payment cycles and disbursement timing with global cash management priorities set by Singapore HQ, escalating any conflicts between local vendor demands and group liquidity constraints Statutory Compliance & Tax Readiness Maintain all U.S. statutory obligations on schedule — state business registrations, sales and use tax filings, payroll compliance, and annual returns — across all states where LionsBot USA has customer activity Initiate and complete state registrations as LionsBot USA gains new customer locations in new states Prepare and submit all tax data to our external CPA firm on schedule; manage the external CPA relationship and ensure zero late filings or penalties Ensure all financial records are audit-ready at all times; comply with all financial policies, regulations, and GAAP requirements Core Accounting Operations & Budget Perform and manage all company accounting transactions — AP, AR, bank reconciliations, vendor and bank payments, and employee expense reimbursements Maintain the ERP (NetSuite or equivalent) as the system of record; ensure the chart of accounts is structured to support meaningful reporting and intracompany reconciliation Prepare budget forecasts and lead the annual budget process — coordinating inputs from all department heads and delivering a complete P&L, headcount model, and cash flow projection Reinforce financial data confidentiality and data integrity across all financial systems and records Intracompany & Singapore Coordination Manage intracompany financial reporting, cross-charges, and warranty cost allocation in coordination with the LionsBot International finance team in Singapore Ensure intracompany invoicing and reconciliation is clean, timely, and aligned with global reporting requirements Support audit processes and ensure all intracompany financial relationships are documented and reconciled MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent discipline 5+ years of professional accounting or finance experience, with at least 2 years as the most senior finance professional on site — independently owning the full close cycle Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, or a comparable platform Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting regulations, and financial compliance requirements Experience with U.S. multi‑state statutory compliance — state registrations, sales and use tax, and payroll compliance Advanced MS Excel skills — pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and financial modeling Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer Successfully fulfill pre‑employment onboarding requirements including background checks for criminal/civil and motor vehicle records PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred Experience working at a U.S. subsidiary of an international company — comfortable coordinating with a global parent finance team across time zones, particularly in Asia‑Pacific Professional background in distribution, manufacturing, capital equipment, robotics, or commercial cleaning — familiarity with product margin, warranty cost structures, dealer pricing, and channel economics Experience building financial infrastructure from scratch rather than inheriting an established function Experience with intracompany accounting, transfer pricing, and cross‑charge methodologies Additional certifications such as CFA, CIA, CMA, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, or equivalent LionsBot provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
