General Information:Job title: Long-term Care QAPI NurseSchedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - FridayWeekend rotation: No weekendsHoliday rotation: No holidays**Additional Information: Position will be expected to split time between both Crest View in New Lisbon and Fair View in Mauston.**Position Summary:The LTC QA Nurse position supports Long Term Care by helping ensure both nursing homes and the CBRF are continually compliant with regulatory standards. This role involves performing a variety of complex, often confidential, and analytical tasks related to quality improvement, regulatory readiness and quality of care.Position Responsibilities:Manage quality assurance and improvement programs across LTC including but not limited to falls, behavior, infection prevention/controlManage referrals and prepare necessary documents for admissionsAttend QA meetings and create/implement/track PIPs when necessaryChart review, data collection, report generationServes as backup for MDSInitiates the development of policies and procedures that govern applicable programsMaintain Regulatory Compliance with DHS 132 and all CMS RegulationsPerform other duties as requested.Position Requirements:Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree in nursing preferred. 2+ years of related work experience preferred. Maintain and hold Wisconsin RN license. Must maintain a valid, current driver's license. Current CPR/BLS certification required.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Possesses skills and knowledge in the following areas: strategies of nursing management, foundations of long-term care regulations, Medicare & Medicaid guidelines.Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required. Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.Strong quantitative and analytical competency.Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential.
