Interventional Radiology Technologist - Travel Job

Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an IR Tech and use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be responsible for the operation and quality assurance of film processing, patient monitoring, and x-ray equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience specific to IR Body and IR Neuro at a Level 1 Trauma Center. (Required)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - ARRT-R or RCIS required.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• BLS certification required.
• State radiologic technologist license for North Carolina required.
• Experience scrubbing and assisting in IR procedures, and circulating (operating equipment and providing supplies).
• Experience with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems and GE ultrasound units preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Epic/Encompass, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with stroke, neurovascular and complex body IR cases preferred.
• NIHSS and ACLS preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Department: Interventional Radiology, academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Shift start time: 08:00.
• Schedule options: Manager open to 8-, 10- and 12-hour shift schedules. Example schedules include 3x12s, 4x10s, or 5x8s.
• Typical shift windows: 08:00-18:30 or 08:00-16:30 (per department scheduling).
• On-call requirements: Approximately 3-4 call days per month. Weekend call approximately every 5th-6th weekend (Fri ~16:30 to Mon 08:00).
• Holiday expectation: 75% of holidays required.
• Orientation: Up to 2 weeks.
• Floating: No floating required.
