As a Security Officer Armed Patrol - School in Rock Hill, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, manage access activity, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor management and traffic flow during arrival, dismissal, and special events.
• Support a positive learning environment by maintaining a professional presence, communicating clearly with school personnel and/or first responders, and following post orders for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
