We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in a full-time or PRN capacity. The compensation for this role ranges from $43 to $55 per hour, depending on experience. We welcome new graduates to apply!

Work Environment and Patient Demographics

Our facilities operate as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that provide:

• Long-term care for residents needing ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance.
• Short-term, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
• Collaborative care through an interdisciplinary team approach involving nursing, therapy, and medical staff.
• A diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist will deliver direct rehabilitation services in accordance with physician referrals, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal is optional thereafter.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
• Current registration/licensure in the applicable state, maintaining an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• Preferred one year of experience; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• CPR certification required upon hire or to be obtained during orientation, with ongoing maintenance throughout employment.

Job Responsibilities

• Engage in community health initiatives as appropriate.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Coordinate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively address patient needs.
• Exhibit proper body mechanics consistently.
• Make independent decisions when necessary.
• Understand and comply with laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to post-acute care facilities.
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and vendors.
• Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
• Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
• Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.

Essential Functions

• Follow occupational treatment plans for patients, focusing on activities of daily living.
• Establish, assess, and adjust realistic, measurable, and functional goals.
• Supervise and evaluate care provided by Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), Rehabilitation Aides, and students.
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Employ reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, and reaching throughout working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language proficiently.
