Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our University Park team with a primary focus on Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) and Utility systems. This is a multi-skilled, plant-facing role requiring strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. This position supports electrical, instrumentation, millwright, piping, and utility systems across the facility.What You'll Do:Bench and field calibrate pressure, temperature, and flow sensorsSet up control valves, positioners, and I/P transducersConfigure devices using HART communicator or instrument panel buttonsPerform loop wiring troubleshooting for analog and discrete devicesWork with 110Vac and 24Vdc wiring while preventing signal interferenceDocument calibration activity, labeling, and instrumentation with extreme accuracyInstall stainless steel tubing for automatic valvesAssemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring and equipmentDiagnose malfunctioning systems and components using testing equipmentConnect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and motorsInspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with plant standards and codesTest electrical continuity using digital multimetersDesign and install conduit and wiring systems according to specificationsRead and follow blueprints and job specificationsRepair or replace electrical components as neededMaintain plant utility systems including boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, and water treatment systemsMonitor boiler feed water chemistry and water treatment parametersPerform preventive maintenance including lubrication, inspections, and filter replacementPerform mechanical repairs including valves, piping, strainers, and breakersSupport facility maintenance including HVAC, painting, lighting, and general upkeepAssist in MRO storeroom organization and inventoryOperate company vehicles and assist contract craftspeopleUse power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment safelyLift and rig equipment and pipingWork from ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and elevated platformsCoordinate repairs with production teamsMaintain accurate documentation and permit compliance including lockout/tagout proceduresPerform housekeeping within assigned areasSupport ISO 9001, EFfCI, GMP, RSPO, Manufacturing Excellence, and HSSE standardsParticipate fully in plant health, safety, and environmental initiativesComplete required HSE training and attend safety meetingsFollow life-critical procedures and PPE requirementsHandle hazardous and universal waste in compliance with regulationsWhat We're Looking For:High School Diploma or GED7+ years in industrial maintenance or construction experience, chemical manufacturing preferred5+ years of experience in emphasis areaValid driver's licenseForklift operator certificationElevated work platform certificationStrong ability to read blueprints, piping and instrumentation drawings, and manualsStrong math skills including fractions, ratios, and measurementsAbility to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to perform lockout/tagout and permitting proceduresProficiency using computers for work orders, drawings, and documentationStrong commitment to safety and complianceWhy You'll Love It Here:Competitive starting pay beginning at $31.37 per hourComprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement savings, and generous PTOOpportunity to work across multiple technical disciplinesCareer growth within a stable and expanding specialty chemicals companyJoin a company that's redefining what it means to be "green" in the specialty chemicals industry.
