General Job Summary: Join our dynamic aerospace team as a Manufacturing Operations Engineer focused on supplier management for electrical controllers, electric pumps, and valves. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and efficiency of critical components in our aerospace systems. Essential Job Functions Identify and assess potential suppliers for electrical controllers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems based on quality, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness. Conduct regular evaluations and audits to ensure suppliers meet established standards and performance metrics. Foster strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including design, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of components. Develop and implement quality control processes for all FTT mechanical systems. Establish and monitor inspection protocols to guarantee compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the manufacturing and the supply chain. Adhere to company best practices and standard operating procedures and provide feedback for improvements. Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions. Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges and ensure a steady flow of components. Stay current on industry advancements and emerging technologies related to FTT mechanical systems (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) Provide technical expertise to support decision‑making and troubleshooting. Supervisory Responsibility: None Experience And Skills Education and Experience BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, specifically in support of manufacturing operations with a focus on mechanical systems (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) Understanding of aerospace industry regulations and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem‑solving abilities. Work Environment/Physical Requirements Office and/or manufacturing environment. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment). Travel Requirements: Yes, if applicable.
