California Licensed Access Specialist

To support patient access to mental health treatments, the part-time California Licensed Access Specialist will complete Verification of Benefits and secure Prior Authorizations for interventional therapies while working remotely and adhering to a Pacific Time schedule from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Key responsibilities Complete comprehensive Verification of Benefits and manage Prior Authorizations for interventional services Track authorization status and communicate updates to internal stakeholders while challenging denials and coordinating appeals Collaborate with clinic teams and maintain accurate documentation across internal systems to ensure seamless patient access Required qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance workflows, including Verification of Benefits and prior authorizations Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a persistent, solutions-oriented mindset Experience navigating payer portals and complex coverage scenarios Technically proficient with EMRs, CRMs (Salesforce), and digital tools Ability to work a Pacific Time Zone schedule from 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
