Job Details Location: 320 Hospital Drive, Martinsville, VA 24112 Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts Schedule: Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 hours, with as-needed weekend coverage and call requirements Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as an RN in Virginia, current certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) / Handle with Care, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Plus 1-2 years of emergency room experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common emergency diagnoses such as chest pain, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and psychological conditions; professional, positive, compassionate attitude; team-oriented personality Additional Information: The emergency department features 34 beds, patient ratios of 1:5, and serves all age groups. The unit uses Medhost electronic health record system. The position requires compliance with safety protocols including certification completion prior to start and consent for drug screening and criminal background checks.
