Badger State Staffing is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor for a pivotal leadership role in a reputable food manufacturing facility. This position is focused on driving the facility’s vision, values, and business objectives. In this role, you will design efficient work systems, mentor team members, and implement strategic initiatives to optimize safety, quality, hygiene, and shift performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a zero-injury safety culture by modeling and enforcing all OSHA, environmental, and corporate safety policies
• Lead root-cause investigations for safety near-misses or incidents, implementing long-term corrective actions
• Oversee shift compliance with strict food manufacturing hygiene standards (GMP/Good Manufacturing Practices) and master sanitation schedules
• Ensure absolute adherence to FDA, USDA, SQF, and HACCP regulations
• Coordinate with the EHS team regarding work hardening activities for employees on restriction or with injuries
• Coordinate safety training (hearing, lift truck license, etc.)
• Audit operational processes to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are effectively executed and maintained by the production team
• Oversee the training and onboarding for new shift employees, ensuring they are set up for long-term success
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and manage employee relations
• Address performance gaps through proactive coaching and formal development plans
• Identify high-potential employees and design career pathing initiatives to build a resilient leadership pipeline within your shift

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shift schedule (alternating 12-hour days/nights, providing a built-in 3-day weekend every other week)

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• BA/BS degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field is a plus
• 3+ years of related professional and progressive manufacturing experience
• Ability to communicate expectations, provide direction and give feedback
• Must be multi-faceted, have multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize workload based on immediate needs
• Understanding of and ability to use PC hardware and basic software packages including Word and Excel
• Knowledgeable about BRC requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
