Supervisor, Supply Instrumentation and Regulation, Gas

Ensures achievement of goals and objectives consistent with the Company direction including accountability of public and employee safety and O&M budgetary control. Performs the duties of Supervisor On-Call.Essential Functions:Provides supervision, communication, and direction for the respective area workforce.Plans, schedules, and coordinates work assignments related to pressure management and the maintenance of distribution regulator stations, gate stations, critical valves, and telemetry cabinets including the repair and calibration of field instrumentation.Supervises area instrumentation and regulation activities in accordance with state, federal and industry codes as well as Company standards and policies.Responsible for standardization of work practices and procedures across the Company.Develops and implements employee safety programs and monitors employee and contractor work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards.Conducts technical OJT and Vendor training programs for field personnel.Administers the agreement between the Company and the Union.Administers the Company’s natural gas odorization programs.Assumes on-call supervisory assignments as required.Will have storm duty assignment.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill:Requires a high degree of technical knowledge in the area of Instrumentation and Regulation equipment.Thorough understanding of Instrumentation and Regulation field operations.Complete knowledge of Company work practices and procedures.Requires superior organizational project planning and communication skills.Familiarity with computer operations. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel)Thorough knowledge of the Company-Union agreement.Education:Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experienceExperience:5-10 years related experienceLicenses & Certifications:Must possess a valid Driver’s LicenseWorking Conditions:This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing.
