About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Legal with a focus on Corporate and M&A to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the legal department, responsible for overseeing a wide range of corporate legal workstreams, particularly in the context of strategic transactions. This role demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 12 years' corporate legal experience, a strong background in M&A and corporate transactions, and the ability to lead multi-stream transactions with confidence. The VP, Legal will work closely with senior leaders across the business, including the CFO and CEO, and will be a trusted advisor on complex corporate matters. Experience in fast-growth businesses and a background in scaling a corporate function, particularly in a high-growth or pre-IPO environment, is highly valued. Key responsibilities for the VP, Legal include leading strategic transactions, M&A execution, and partnering with various business functions to ensure legal alignment. The role also involves running strategic minority investments, leading joint ventures, and supporting governance, equity, and entity management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of joint ventures, equity matters, subsidiary governance, and strategic transactions, and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with employee equity at the venture or pre-IPO stage is a plus.
