Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Draeger vent experience for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center.

Job Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds,
• Level II Trauma Center,
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System,
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed,
• Will float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford campuses as needed,
• Travelers should expect to rotate through all hospital units including NICU and Pediatric units depending on census and staffing needs,
• Epic EMR used for charting,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience required,
• Acute care experience required,
• Level II Trauma experience required,
• Draeger vent experience required,
• Teaching hospital experience required,
• Prior travel assignment experience required, with no contracts under 13 weeks,
• BLS and CRT or RRT certification required,
• State license required if applicable,
• CT state license takes 15-21 business days to issue; candidates must apply prior to submission,
• NICU experience preferred but not required,
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred,
• One professional reference required,
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only,

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations,
• May be asked to orientate students or new hires as needed,
• Participate in all required hospital modules prior to start and annually,
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed,
• Free parking available on site,
• Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the hospital,
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible to return as a traveler,
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
