Anesthesia Technician (Per Diem, Variable Shift)

Located in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. Job Summary: Assists anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Works under direct supervision within defined parameters. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree in biology, chemistry, physics, math or

equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: * National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA): Required * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required * Certified Anesthesia Tech (CAT): Required Essential Functions: * Gathers patient data and assists with physical and mental patient evaluations. Documents surgical procedures and assists directing anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. * Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters. Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
