Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Infusion RN provides specialized nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapies, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Responsible for administering treatments, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring safety and compliance throughout their care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses during infusion sessions.
• Ensure proper documentation of treatments and patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and certification requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and address any issues.
• Comply with all regulatory policies, including licensing, certification, and travel requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active MI RN license or eligible for MI licensing; pending license ETA acceptable.
• Obtain ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification prior to assignment start date.
• Possess BLS certification; AHA preferred.
• Have at least 1 year of relevant infusion nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted.
• EPIC experience and trauma Level 1 experience are strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMR systems and infusion protocols.
