Today, MiniCo is a member of the Jencap Program Administrators division, offering multiple specialty property and casualty insurance products for a variety of unique industries and exposures.

The Accounting Assistant (Receivables) will work a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix AZ office

Responsibilities:

• Post payments to invoices
• Take payment calls
• Respond to accounting emails in Inquiry inbox
• Follow up and send past due notices
• Issue disbursement of commissions and refunds
• Function as back-up to all AR positions, filling in as needed for PTO coverage
• Prepare 1099 annual reporting
• Call on outstanding checks to reissue payment

Requirements:

• 2-year degree (preferred) or equivalent of at least 2 years' experience in practical accounting environment.
• Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Prepare audit workpapers at year end and assist in audit completion
• Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Knowledge of accounting PC applications.
• Extremely detail oriented as well as speedy and accurate with a strong commitment to and regard for tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of online EDP environment.

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
