Speech Therapist

Job Title: Speech Therapist (SLP) Location: Cumming, GA Assignment Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Minimum of 2 weekends per 4 weeks (4 weekends per 4 weeks preferred). Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join an acute care team. The therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services to patients across the hospital based on physician orders. Department Acute Care Speech-Language Pathology Patient Population & Exposure Treats a diverse patient population including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive disorders Exposure to both medical and surgical diagnoses Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty Active Georgia SLP license CCC‑SLP certification required Current AHA BLS certification Preferred Qualifications Prior acute care experience Experience with MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) and/or FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) Responsibilities Provide speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and treatments Manage dysphagia, cognitive-communication, and speech disorders Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Support patients across various hospital units, including ICU Benefits We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.
