Job Summary and Responsibilities As our ER Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, you’ll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies. Everyday, you will be a multitasker who can react quickly as you prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while providing emergency triage to others. To thrive in this vital role, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism and critical thinking skills. You should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step. Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients. Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed. Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition. Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc We are offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 educational assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Job Requirements Graduate of a nursing program Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) required within 3 months of hire ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required within 5 months of hire PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 5 months of hire NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required within 6 months of hire TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) required within 12 months of hireENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) required within 18 months of hire. Where You'll Work The Emergency Room is a 26 bed and Level III Trauma Center that treat minor injuries to complex trauma cases and the care team has the skills and expertise to help in any situation.
