Sunset Park Children's School Inc. is seeking a passionate Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners. Join our vibrant community in Brooklyn, NY, where creativity and education come together to foster a love for learning. We are looking for a Teacher who is creative, energetic and loving with effective communication skills and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of Pre-K students.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance curriculum and classroom activities.
- Facilitate daily routines, including circle time, snack, and outdoor play.
- Promote social and emotional development through play-based learning and structured activities.
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding their child’s development and classroom events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Master's Degree perferred
- New York State teaching certification for early childhood education
- At least 1 year of experience teaching in a preschool or early childhood setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
- Creative, patient, and passionate about fostering a love for learning in young children.
