Also based in our New York headquarters are our sales, marketing, administrative, and service teams, who work closely together to ensure every customer receives a seamless, personalized experience at every touchpoint.Role SummaryThe Quality Control Technician will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and consistency of Clarapath's advanced SectionStar™ and TrimStar Pro™ platforms. This individual will support quality control activities throughout the product lifecycle, including incoming inspection, in-process and final inspection, testing, documentation, and identification of nonconformances. Working closely with manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, software, engineering, and quality teams, the Quality Control Technician will help ensure products and components meet established specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality standards. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality, and is passionate about supporting the development of innovative medical device and robotics technologies that improve laboratory workflows and patient outcomes.ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, assemblies, and finished productsInspect parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and established quality standardsUse precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection toolsPerform functional and quality testing of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assembliesDocument inspection and test results accurately and maintain required quality recordsIdentify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials, components, and assembliesSupport nonconformance investigations and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actionsWork closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrenceAssist with first article inspections and inspection activities associated with new or modified productsVerify that manufacturing processes are being performed in accordance with approved procedures and work instructionsSupport calibration and maintenance of inspection and measurement equipmentAssist with maintaining inspection procedures, checklists, and other quality documentationReview manufacturing documentation for completeness and accuracyParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process consistency, and manufacturing efficiencyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection and work environmentSupport quality activities associated with product builds, engineering verification, and production releasesAssist with audits and other Quality Management System activities as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, quality, or a related field, a plus1–3 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, inspection, or a related technical environment preferredExperience working with mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical products preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructionsExperience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar inspection equipmentStrong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or defectsBasic understanding of manufacturing and quality control principlesBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office or similar toolsStrong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to accurately record inspection and test resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teamsComfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing and laboratory environmentFamiliarity with ISO 13485 or other regulated quality systems, a plus.Experience in medical device, aerospace, robotics, or other regulated manufacturing environments, a plus.Familiarity with nonconformance, CAPA, root cause analysis, or corrective action processes, a plusExperience with inspection documentation or quality management systems, a plusCompany Offers:Competitive salary will be commensurate with experience and educationComprehensive benefits package available: (healthcare, vision, dental and life insurances; 401k; PTO and holidays).A collaborative and diverse work environment where our teams thrive on solving complex challengesAbility to file IP with the companyConnections with world class researchers and their laboratoriesCollaboration with strategic leaders in healthcare and pharmaceutical worldA mission driven organization where every team member will be responsible for changing the standards of delivering healthcareClarapath is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
