Test Technician

Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Test Technician to execute functional, environmental, and diagnostic testing on electronic assemblies. You will troubleshoot product failures down to the component level, perform SMT rework and precision soldering, and maintain lab equipment to meet strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Testing & Execution: Conduct functional, stress, and diagnostic tests using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and automated test equipment (ATE).

• Troubleshooting & Rework: Isolate component-level failures on complex PCBs; perform surface-mount technology (SMT) rework, fine-pitch micro-soldering, and board modifications.

• Maintenance & Calibration: Calibrate lab instruments, assemble custom cable harnesses, and maintain specialized test fixtures.

• Documentation: Log test data, generate detailed non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure full compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in Electronics Technology, military technical training, or equivalent experience.

• Experience: 2+ years as a test technician in electronics, manufacturing, aerospace, or medical devices.

• Skills: Proficient with schematics, test equipment, manual SMT rework, and soldering techniques (IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred).
