Join the Patient Management Unit at a key moment in our history as we strengthen our clinically-driven, patient-centered preadmission pathway for DSH patients! Under the direction of the Chief Psychologist of the Patient Care Coordination Division and with additional support from the Assistant Medical Director in the Clinical Operations division, the Nursing Consultant, Program Review, is responsible for overseeing Care Coordination efforts and providing consultation and direct supervision to Nurse Practitioners in the planning, evaluation, and placement recommendation of patients during the preadmission process and in support of specific escalated instances within facilities of the Department of State Hospitals (DSH). In collaboration with the Chief Psychologist, leads the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the oversight of medical and psychiatric care and related barriers that impact patient movement, substantive treatment options, and participates in broader Departmental efforts in clinical best practices and appropriate preadmission pathway utilization. The incumbent must pass a Live Scan background check through the Department of Justice.
